Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Houston, TX is hiring for a manufacturing helper focused on loading, painting and inspecting parts. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating forklifts and other equipment, and maintaining safety practices on a non-temperature controlled floor.

The position offers a night shift starting at 6:00 pm with potential overtime and a path to certification for operating forklifts, cranes and related machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of related manufacturing experience.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate forklift, overhead crane, yard mule and side loaders.
• PPE capable, including respirator.
• Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
• Experience with forklifts, bander, nail gun, crane, saws, stretch wrap, and pneumatic tools preferred but not required.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Good attitude and team oriented.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload painted parts as needed.
• Paint parts as needed.
• Inspect painted parts for quality standards.
• Provide manufacturing support to customers.
• Complete orders safely, accurately and timely.
• Assist coworkers and customers.
• Inspect materials, products, machinery, tools and equipment.
• Maintain ERP inventory updates.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Move inventory between workstations.
• Follow safety requirements and use PPE.
