Job summary

Metals USA in Muskogee, OK is seeking a Material Handler/Loader for the Night Shift (9pm - 5:30am) to load metal materials into trucks using an overhead crane. The role includes stocking, tagging, pulling and assembling orders, operating a yard truck, cranes, and forklifts, and completing paperwork under limited supervision.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, pass pre-employment drug screening, read and write English, and have basic measurement and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Reading and writing ability in English (to read instructions, tickets, safety and policies manuals).
• Measuring skills to read and convert English and Metric systems.
• Arithmetic skills to calculate and convert decimals and fractions.
• Minimum 6 months experience as Material Handler, Warehouse Helper, Truck Loader or Construction.
• Prefer 6 months experience operating an overhead crane.
• Must be able to pass forklift certification by Metals USA on 5k and 10k forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Receives, places/returns items into stock locations.
• Tags material for proper identification.
• Pulls and assembles customer orders in order of delivery.
• Operates yard truck for loading/unloading trailers.
• Operates cranes to load/unload trailers and stock in bins.
• Operates forklift (5k or 10k) to load/unload trailers.
• Completes work order paperwork/documentation.
• Restocks material.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
