Job summary

PPG's Lima, OH distribution center is hiring a Material Handler. You will unload trailers, check shipments, store materials, and prepare outgoing shipping documents using Oracle WMS. The night shift runs 10:00pm–6:30am with a $1.50/hr differential and bi-weekly pay.

As a Material Handler, you will ensure quality products are readily available, participate in inventory and safety meetings, operate pallet jacks and forklifts, and support the Distribution Manager. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years warehouse/manufacturing experience.
• Basic reading, writing, mathematical and communication skills.
• Forklift/hand-jack experience is beneficial.
• Willing to work holidays and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming trailers using hand or electric equipment.
• Check incoming shipments and store materials with proper stock rotation.
• Process orders (pallets, small packages) efficiently and accurately.
• Use RF scanners, computers, and power equipment following best practices.
• Prepare shipping documents for outgoing shipments in Oracle WMS.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, EPA, ISO and PPG policies and regulations.
• Participate in inventory, cycle counts, audits, and replenishment.
• Assist the Distribution Manager or Supervisor with duties or projects.
