Job summary

Briggs & Stratton in Poplar Bluff, MO seeks a maintenance technician to troubleshoot and repair plant production equipment and set up various production machines to ensure quality output.

You will work with engineers and outside vendors, lead safety and quality practices, train staff, and perform a range of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced troubleshooting using mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of tooling practices and applications.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers.

Responsibilities

• Instruct, monitor and communicate safety, quality and production requirements.
• Perform automation, robotics, and machine shop fabrication tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and vendors to resolve process or equipment issues cost-effectively.
• Maintain SPC charting and analyze trends to adjust processes and equipment.
• Train employees, assign tasks, provide feedback and address issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
