Job summary

Atkore International in Houston, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor - Night shift to lead the hourly shop floor, drive production goals, and implement lean activities. You will report to the Production Manager and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or 5+ years manufacturing experience, familiarity with AS400 or JD Edwards ERP, and Six Sigma/Lean experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' manufacturing experience.
• AS400 and/or JD Edwards ERP experience.
• Six Sigma/Lean Management experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, quality and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly manufacturing team members.
• Schedule and assign work tasks to meet production goals.
• Create and modify standardized work and ensure consistency.
• Provide technical expertise in responsible areas.
• Ensure products are prepared for on-time delivery.
• Maintain ERP system and master data.
• Coordinate Planning, Scheduling and Operations to hit KPIs.
• Maintain KPI reporting and Lean Daily Management involvement.
• Track delivery metrics to ensure strong customer service.
• Identify and act on Kaizen opportunities.
• Collaborate with EHS/HR to address issues and corrective actions.
• Uphold company policies, procedures and housekeeping.
• Maintain fair labor relations and promote teamwork.
• Foster a positive work environment and winning attitude.
• All other duties as assigned.
