Job summary

Kerry Group in Melrose Park, IL is hiring a Manufacturing Operator to support shift operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will operate machinery, start/stop and changeover lines, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifying candidates have a High School diploma or GED and can read production orders, keep accurate records, and communicate in English. The role offers shift schedules and a pay rate of $22.38 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 1–3 years in food manufacturing or any manufacturing industry preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and manufacturing orders.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Regularly handle objects weighing up to 50+ lbs.
• Responsible for machine start up, shut down and changeover procedures.
• Verify that screens on sifters are in good condition and appropriate for the product.
• Check MO ingredients are correct and recorded.
• Record all raw materials on the MO.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and work in a team.
