Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician to improve systems and equipment reliability on assigned processes, reducing downtime and supporting operations.

The role requires an Associate’s degree, 1–5 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in reading schematics, with SAP experience preferred. You will interpret mechanical/electrical specs, work nights and weekends, and train teammates to grow the maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in relevant field or equivalent training, with understanding of mechanical, electrical & control systems.
• Night shift role with standard hours 6-6am (12-hour shifts: 2 days on, 3 off; then 3 days on, 2 off).
• 1–5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with SAP preferred.
• Reading schematics and wiring diagrams; computer literacy.
• Planning/organizing work and revising daily plans a plus.
• Systematic problem solving and troubleshooting; document problems and resolutions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental requirements in performance of duties.
• Follow SOPs in performance of duties.
• Develop maintenance procedures, maintenance plans and spare parts lists for assigned processes.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
• Interpret mechanical and electrical specifications, drawings and other technical data sheets.
• Work rotating night shifts and weekends as required.
• Document maintenance activities in SAP.
• Partner with process owners to improve performance and reliability.
• Train fellow technicians and learn new systems.
• Use SPS tools to establish root cause analysis and resolve equipment issues.
• Suggest practical changes to equipment and department practices.
• Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Other accountabilities as assigned.
