Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Shift Technician - Maintenance for our Fort Smith, AR manufacturing plant. You will troubleshoot and repair production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and work with operators and leads to keep the site running safely and efficiently.

The role requires 12-hour night shifts, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and a focus on safety and quality. Join a team dedicated to pet nutrition and manufacturing excellence at one of Mars’ important U.S. facilities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates degree or equivalent in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering.
• Technical training from an accredited school and/or military experience in related fields.
• Be able to work 12-hour shift schedule.
• Be able to work nights.
• Be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company safety and quality processes and rules.
• Provide technical skills required to systematically repair, adjust and maintain processing, filling, conveying, and packaging machinery as assigned using established maintenance reliability practices, consistent observation, repair, and follow-up of operational effectiveness.
• Must be able to work with others in a team atmosphere.
• Other duties include participating in continuous improvement teams, working on new project activities and continuous training.
