Job summary

Mars Petcare in Fort Smith, AR seeks a Shift Technician - Maintenance for night shifts in a 12-hour rotation. The role reports to the maintenance team and focuses on keeping processing, filling, conveying, and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaborating with operators and leads to address issues while adhering to GMP standards. The position offers competitive benefits and a path for career growth.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree or equivalent in mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering.
• Technical training from an accredited school and/or military experience in related fields.
• Be able to work 12-hour shift schedule.
• Be able to work nights.
• Be able to lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to company safety and quality processes and rules.
• Provide technical skills required to systematically repair, adjust and maintain processing, filling, conveying, and packaging machinery as assigned using established maintenance reliability practices, consistent observation, repair, and follow-up of operational effectiveness.
• Must be able to work with others in a team atmosphere.
• Other duties include participating in continuous improvement teams, working on new project activities and continuous training
