Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, seeks a Quartz Maintenance Technician - Nights 2-2-3 to join our manufacturing team. This role performs complex mechanical and electrical work, troubleshoots PLCs, and maintains control systems in a fast-paced tile production environment.

You will read blueprints, install and configure PC hardware and software, lead improvements, and ensure safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of electrical code.
• 4+ years industrial maintenance and 2 years industrial electrical experience.
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office).
• Read blueprints; troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs.
• Score 80% or better on the Industrial Maintenance exam.
• Read/understand procedures in English; test motors/circuits with meters.
• Knowledge of LGV equipment and operation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLCs using handheld device or laptop.
• Design and redesign PLC software and operator panels.
• Format hard drives and install PCs and PC applications.
• Install/maintain/repair equipment for generation/distribution of electrical energy.
• Locate and diagnose electrical faults from blueprints and specs.
• Compute load requirements for wiring and equipment.
• Lead projects and drive process improvements; speak to solutions.
• Use measuring/testing instruments; maintain safe, clean work area.
