Job summary

PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer and distributor of OTC pharmaceutical products. The Maintenance Technician will ensure proper function and installation of machinery used in production, with a Sunday-Thursday schedule from 10:00pm to 6:30am and overtime as needed.

Requires a minimum of 5 years on packaging lines, strong English communication, and experience with packaging equipment. Must have own tools and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience on packaging lines, preferably in a cGMP environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English; Spanish a plus.
• Experience with packaging equipment (labelers, rotary and inline fillers, in-line cappers, jet printers, cartoners, bundlers, sleevers, heat tunnels and case sealers).
• Maintain alignment with maintenance manager’s expectations and drive improvements and efficiencies.
• Must have own tools and be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work any shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Replace valves, pumps, motors, and gear reducers.
• Disassemble/assemble electric motors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Repair machinery and conveyor belts.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Maintain technical and professional knowledge.
• Perform plant maintenance duties as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
