Job summary

VIAVI Solutions is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for the night shift to support our transportation equipment lines. The role focuses on performing planned maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and replacements to keep production running reliably.

You will expand your mechanical and electrical knowledge through training, advance with experience, and potentially grow into higher-skill roles within the maintenance organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of mechanical or maintenance experience in manufacturing or related environments.
• Experience with PMs, lubrication, and component replacements is a plus.
• Familiarity with production machinery, sensors, motors, pneumatics, or simple electrical devices.

Responsibilities

• Run PMs that matter and perform inspections, lubrication, and replacements.
• Rebuild subassemblies, install/commission components, and make minor hardware mods.
• Support the plant utilities to keep lines stable.
