Job summary

ZXP is seeking a maintenance technician in Texas responsible for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repair and support to improve plant reliability. The role stresses independent work and contributing to preventive maintenance objectives.

You will repair pumps, conveyors, motors, hydraulics and pneumatics, perform electrical repairs, and document work while following safety policies and LOTO procedures. On-call or weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Maintenance experience required, ideally in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, conveyors, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Proficiency in repairing equipment to OEM specifications and tolerances.
• Ability to complete detailed maintenance and repair documentation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience repairing and replacing electrical components.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic knowledge of Asset essentials or the ability and willingness to learn.
• Willingness and availability to participate in on-call or weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain machinery and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Follow PM programs and improve plant reliability.
• Document repair status and communicate with manager.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Support general maintenance tasks as needed.
• Work safely in a manufacturing environment.
