Job summary

Avient Corporation in Norwalk, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift. This on-site role runs 9:00 PM–7:00 AM, Monday to Thursday, with starting pay of $28.00 per hour plus shift differential. Avient highlights benefits and a strong safety culture for team members.

You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical devices, operate shop machinery, and support preventive maintenance to keep equipment available and productive.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Technical School degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an industrial operations environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Must perform basic mathematical operations and unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots mechanical devices and replaces defective parts.
• Operates shop machinery including lathe, drill press, grinders, and band saws.
• Installs or repairs hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as needed.
• Completes projects with minimal guidance to minimize downtime.
• Maintains maintenance logs and records.
