Job summary

Mercury Plastics is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a night shift (11 pm-7 am), Sunday–Thursday, in Middlefield, OH. The role focuses on maintaining facility and production equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, identify and resolve equipment issues, and ensure safe operating conditions across multiple sites. A technical background and PLC/pneumatics/hydraulic knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

High School/GED required.
Three (3) years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
Technical Degree, Certification or equivalent trades training program with emphasis on electrical and/or fluid power.
Valid Driver’s License with transportation required.
Self-starter, dependable, flexible and able to work with minimum supervision and guidance.
Background and experience in electrical with PLC’s, pneumatics & hydraulic knowledge and familiarity a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform all work in a safe and professional manner while maintaining a clean work environment.
Quickly identify and resolve work requests on a wide variety of production equipment and processes.
Keep equipment in safe operating condition.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work areas with multiple sites.
Complete work orders, PM rounds, repairs, and general maintenance.
Previous participation in safety and continuous improvement programs with the desire to help make improvements to existing programs.
