Job summary

Millat Industries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Night Shift at our Kettering location near Dayton, OH. Join a family-owned manufacturing company with 60 years of success and a collaborative maintenance team focused on reliability and efficiency.

The role requires mechanical aptitude with experience in electrical systems, automation, and robotics; knowledge of safety practices and CMMS is valued. Schedule is 8:00pm–5:00am, Monday–Friday, with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined with experience in electrical systems, machinery control panels, automation and robotics, and a strong understanding of machine diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Safety & maintenance fundamentals: LO/TO, Arc Flash, PPE, machine safety circuits, electrical safe practices, rigging & lifting.
• Mechanical systems maintenance: read drawings, inspection and replacement of bearings, LM guides, leveling, hydraulic/pneumatic/coolant systems, CNC axis alignment, tool changer, spindle components.
• Electrical systems: read schematics, 480V troubleshooting, power supplies, relays & contactors, servo motors & encoders; electrical PMs.
• CNC controls: operation, diagnostics, alarm handling, backups/restoration, battery replacement.
• Automation/PLC/Robotics: PLC basics, ladder logic, I/O, HMI navigation, sensor troubleshooting, robot safety/recovery/alarms.
• Maintenance operations: preventive/predictive maintenance, CMMS, root cause analysis, spare parts, 5S, TPM.
• Performs other duties as assigned
