Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations; follows safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, manuals and schematics.
• Good oral and written communication skills; basic math and report writing.
• Ability to work with maintenance supervisor, site personnel, vendors, and customers.
• Experience using CMMS software for maintenance tracking.

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic safety inspections (fire extinguishers, sprinklers, eye wash, etc.).
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks via work orders.
• Lubricate and inspect plant equipment; perform mechanical repairs.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and maintenance records.
• Calibrate equipment per specifications using NIST standards; document results.
