Job summary

DSM Nutritional Products in St. Louis, MO, seeks a Sr. Maintenance Tech on 3rd shift.

You will perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, troubleshoot complex equipment, read blueprints, and document work in CMMS. You’ll operate forklifts and lifts, follow safety policies, and contribute to ISO/DS standards. You should have 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or industrial setting, plus trade training and a relevant certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required, with Trade School Certificate (or equivalent) in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
• Hands-On Maintenance Experience: 5+ years in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within a food manufacturing or industrial facility, with proven ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex equipment.
• Certifications: Maintenance/Industrial certification required; demonstrates technical credibility and safe work practices.
• Licensing Advantage: Class II Stationary Engineering License is highly valued and considered a plus.
• Automation Knowledge: Exposure to or experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and controls is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate standard maintenance tools (power tools, electric tools, etc.) and preventative maintenance technology tools.
• Perform maintenance including low voltage electrical, PLC, welding, pipefitting, fabrication, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps, piping systems, valves, steam systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Complete preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance; document work and conditions in CMMS; interact with peers and management for improvements.
• Operate forklifts, loaders, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts per production docs to deliver to correct locations.
• Adhere to safety policies and maintain a safe, clean work environment; comply with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 and DSM policies.
