Dollar Tree is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for its Joliet Distribution Center. The role focuses on reliability and uptime of material handling and building systems, with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.

Responsibilities include repairing conveyors, lift equipment, PLCs, motor drives, and networks, using diagnostic tools. The position requires shift flexibility, strong communication, and a safety-first mindset in a fast-paced DC environment.

Qualifications

• Coursework or certification in electronic technology plus 2 years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology OR 3 years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment.
• PLC/PC program knowledge with troubleshooting experience.
• Industrial electrical experience, including 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24 VDC.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with PCs and industrial control devices and networks.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to leadership.
• Willingness to work shift schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on conveyors and material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, motor drives, networks, and I/O devices.
• Diagnose electrical problems using drawings and schematics.
• Operate and maintain safety procedures and documentation.
• Complete work orders and logs; support other technicians as needed.
• Develop knowledge of DC systems and equipment; propose improvements.
