Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Hodges, SC facility to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, and related systems in a safety-conscious, production-focused environment.

The role requires hands-on skills across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with a proactive approach to keep equipment running smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, mechanical, or electrical roles in heavy industry.
• Knowledge of safety practices and regulatory requirements for industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance on engines, motors, and conveyors.
• Analyze malfunctions and implement effective repairs; inform supervisor of status.
• Record incidents in CMMS and coordinate with production teams.
• Assist maintenance agents and external companies on-site as needed.
• Access technical information and contact suppliers directly.
• Support spare parts storeroom operations.
