Job summary

Palmetto Gourmet Foods in Saluda, SC seeks a Maintenance Technician to maintain electrical and mechanical systems across our production facility. You will troubleshoot, repair equipment, and support continuous improvement while working safely in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work on elevated platforms, and follow OSHA and Safety SOPs. Night shifts 5pm–5am, roughly 48 hours per week, with rotating weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of mechanical power transmission equipment.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Working knowledge of compressor systems and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with all HMI systems in the facility with the ability to troubleshoot as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Track work orders and preventive maintenance using CMMS.
• Troubleshoot and improvement activities including PLC, automated packing, high-speed conveyors.
• Troubleshoot types of AC/DC drives and associated components.
• Repair mechanical and electrical systems and perform welding when needed.
• Adhere to STOP Safety Program and OSHA requirements.
• Assist co-workers and maintain tools in safe, clean condition.
