Job summary

Palmetto Gourmet Foods Inc inSaluda, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting and routine maintenance to keep production lines running safely and efficiently.

The role involves handling PLCs, automated packing, conveyors, HVAC, and plant facilities, with emphasis on safety, process improvements, and teamwork within a world-class ramen noodle production facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Experience in food production is helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Familiarity with reading electrical and mechanical drawings is expected.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools will be necessary.

Responsibilities

• Track work orders and preventive maintenance using CMMS/maintenance system.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, automated packaging equipment and high-speed conveyors.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC drives and electrical systems (110-600 VAC).
• Perform electrical wiring and conduit installation when needed.
• Support process improvements and safety program adherence.
• Stock maintenance materials and keep tools in good condition.
• Work safely and collaboratively with team members.
