The J.M. Smucker Co. is seeking a maintenance/engineering professional for its Emporia, KS facility. The role is 100% on-site with 8-hour shifts and openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts, performing a full range of maintenance and engineering tasks with independent judgment.

Responsibilities include repairing machinery, dismantling devices, and performing preventive maintenance on power systems and equipment. Strong emphasis on safety and proper tool use in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Requires High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Post-secondary education in Industrial Engineering is preferred.
• Previous work experience in industrial engineering preferred.
• Safety training is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Repairs and maintains machinery and equipment using manuals and specs.
• Dismantles devices to access defective parts with hand and power tools.
• Inspects parts with calipers and micrometers to check dimensional changes.
• Adjusts components using hand tools and levels.
• Replaces defective parts and installs functional components.
• Operates metalworking tools to fabricate or repair parts.
• Responds to 24-hour emergency calls as needed.
