Job summary

Nexus Employment Solutions Plus, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Electrical & Mechanical for a manufacturing facility.

The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing industrial equipment, maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, and ensuring safe, reliable production operations. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, strong electrical troubleshooting, and hands-on experience with 3-phase systems up to 480V.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with 3-phase systems up to 480V.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and repair skills.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment.
• Safety-focused with preventive/predictive maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts.

Responsibilities

• Electrical diagnostics: troubleshoot and repair low- and high-voltage power distribution (up to 480V), motor starters, and control systems.
• Mechanical maintenance: service conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts, and other components.
• Identify root causes to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Safely perform LOTO procedures before work.
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Test components with diagnostic equipment.
• Repair/install motors, sensors, and controls.
• Assist with installations, modifications, rebuilds, upgrades.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely repairs.
• Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and issues.
• Collaborate with production to improve reliability.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Follow safety policies and LOTO requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
