Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a warehouse maintenance attendant to oversee and perform non-skilled repairs on equipment and structures within our distribution center. You will handle tasks from painting and plumbing to electrical and HVAC as well as general groundskeeping, with supervision as needed.

You will maintain safety and cleanliness for associates, perform basic inspections, report on maintenance work orders, support warehouse duties, and assist with parts inventory. Overnight travel is limited.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, maintains, and performs non-skilled repairs on equipment and other structures within a distribution center.
• Completes basic building maintenance tasks or works with vendors on more complex tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical lighting, HVAC, and material handling equipment repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment for distribution associates.
• Performs limited preventative maintenance inspections on assigned warehouse equipment assets and buildings.
• Delivers equipment status reports on open and closed maintenance work orders.
• Provides operational support for general warehouse duties.
• Assists with parts inventory management and reports maintenance problems to management.
• Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, and other powered equipment.
• Ensures hazardous materials are properly stored, managed, and maintained.
