Job summary

Niagara Bottling is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment uptime on a 2-2-3 night schedule. You will troubleshoot and repair production equipment including molders, fillers, labelers, and conveyors, plus plant facilities like chillers and compressors.

You’ll collaborate with operators, supervisors, and senior techs to resolve issues and maintain safe operations. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, reading schematics, and using

Qualifications

• 4 years experience in field or similar maintenance environment.
• 4 years experience in position.
• 4 years experience managing people/projects.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
• Skilled in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill and lathe, and assorted power tools.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment: calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
• Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of plant or machine centre.
• Will need own toolbox and basic tools.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, packaging, or plastics industries
• Experience with technologies: VFD, servo drives, rotary equipment, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing
• Knowledge of equipment from Krones, Sidel, or Husky
• Experience reading schematics for process and instrumentation diagrams
• Repair of variable frequency drives, servo motors, and controllers, communication systems, PLC I/O, and safety modules

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and testing equipment.
• Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other facility equipment.
• Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment per Niagara processes.
• Maintain industrial control systems.
• Work independently and with others to complete repairs safely and timely.
• May fill in for production operator as needed.
• Create and report repairs, document parts usage and work orders.
• Follow plant safety rules and safe machine operation.
