Talent With Heart is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a rapidly growing manufacturing client specializing in automotive plastic components. Based in Grand Rapids, MI, this role focuses on reliability, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and minimizing downtime to keep production flowing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial maintenance: mechanical/hydraulic and electrical/electronics.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably automotive.
• Familiar with Keyence SR scanners and vision sensors.
• Knowledge of changing IP addresses on technician PCs (preferred).
• Understanding of safety relays, interlocks, and machine safety.
• Experience troubleshooting light assembly mechatronics.
• Experience with 24VDC sensors and 480VAC equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify causes of unexpected machine breakdowns.
• Repair machines quickly and efficiently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service on machines.
• Clean machines and parts, reinstall as needed.
• Oil and lubricate moving parts for performance.
• Record damaged or worn parts and install replacements.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed.
• Maintain shop areas, inventory, tools, and supplies.
• Assist with new or removed equipment.
• Perform basic building and grounds duties (e.g., plumbing, snow removal).
• Follow organizational standards.
