Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, seeks a maintenance technician to ensure reliable operation of production equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will install, repair, and test production machinery, using a range of hand and power tools under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager.

The role requires at least 2 years of plant maintenance experience, with hydraulics, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing maintenance.
• Experience in plant machine maintenance; hydraulics, electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Welding experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, and replace parts.
• Test malfunctioning machinery and coordinate with head mechanic for repairs.
• Install equipment and electrical components and test for proper function.
• Dismantle equipment to access defective parts using hoists and power tools.
• Lubricate and clean components to ensure proper operation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
• Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with head mechanic for approval and repair as needed
• Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing manufacturing maintenance
• Previous experience in plant machine maintenance; hydraulics, electrical, ability to troubleshoot PLC's, welding (preferred but can work around)
