Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, seeks a Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery. The role focuses on maintaining plant equipment, improving uptime, and ensuring safe, timely production of coatings at a facility in Maryland.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, strong electrical knowledge including PLCs, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong electrical background and familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems.
• Basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling all or parts of machinery to repair or replace defective components.
• Operate shop tools, equipment, and machines related to maintenance as skill level permits.
• Perform portions of repairs to power industrial equipment and assist in rebuilding related equipment.
• Assist in the installation of new plant equipment.
• Maintain production equipment in good operating condition and optimize uptime for safe, timely manufacture of quality coatings.
• Improve reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment.
• Maintenance for PLC-based equipment.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure operation of all equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support site housekeeping and safety programs; participate in related tasks as directed.

Job Summary

Responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job Requirements

• Must have at least three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
• Strong electrical background required, familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers and 480V motors
• Experience with performing preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems
• Must have basic hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with team members
• Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation

• The hourly pay is $25-$35, based on experience
