Job summary

CRH's Oldcastle division seeks a maintenance technician responsible for the overall upkeep and repair of production equipment and machinery. This role requires handling a variety of hand and power tools, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with the head mechanic for complex repairs.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in a manufacturing maintenance setting, with experience in hydraulics, electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting; welding experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
• Experience with hydraulics and electrical systems; PLC troubleshooting; welding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks
• Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with head mechanic for approval
• Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
• Dismantle equipment to access/remove defective parts using hoists/cranes/tools
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
• Other duties as needed

Job Summary

This role is responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Head Mechanic.

Job Responsibilities

• Install, adjust and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
• Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with head mechanic for approval and repair as needed
• Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
• Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools and power tools
• Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing manufacturing maintenance
• Previous experience in plant machine maintenance; hydraulics, electrical, ability to trouble shoot PLC’s, welding (preferred but can work around)
