Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our distribution center. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics, while ensuring PM standards and accurate record-keeping.

You will work the 2B shift (Tuesday–Friday, 5:30p–3:30a), report parts usage, train junior technicians, and collaborate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferred in mechanical or electrical applications.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manner.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and its operational needs
