Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Trade School (required).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in electromechanical or hydraulic systems (required).
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a continuous operating manufacturing environment (required).
• Experience in PLCs preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints; use hand/power tools for hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose problems and estimate material, labor, and parts; follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance.
• Licensed forklift operator.
• OSHA Health and Safety compliance.
• Ability to work at heights up to ~50 feet.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service and emergency/unscheduled repairs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance: inspect drives, motors, belts, fluids, filters.
• Repair machines/equipment using hand and power tools.
• Service, repair, adjust, and test machines, devices, and moving parts.
• Fabrication including machining and general design and fit.
• Diagnose problems, replace parts, and test/adjust repairs.
• Dismantle devices to access defective parts using hoists/cranes.
• Read manuals/work orders to perform the required maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering on special projects as needed.
• Assist in mold tooling design and mold setup; weld steel when needed.
• Promote safety at all times.
