Job summary

Conagra Brands in Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Subject Matter Expert to drive continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and processes at our bakery plant. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and operates on a 3:00 PM–12:00 PM shift with a $0.50 shift differential.

You will coach mechanics, lead root cause analyses, and coordinate improvement projects while upholding GMP, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or 5 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team.
• Experience reading blueprints and pricing parts.

Responsibilities

• Coach maintenance employees and involve manager for support.
• Guide BDA, MPS, Root Cause Analysis, Risk Prediction, UPS, Safety incidents and other issues to completion.
• Be a mechanic-trainer, coaching mechanics.
• Prepare and lead meetings.
• Assist Maintenance Manager, Production Managers, operators and mechanics with equipment troubleshooting with urgency to keep equipment running.
• Monitor and teach the continuous improvement systems to mechanics.
• Participate in improvement projects and teams (5S, UPS, Kaizen, Breakdown Elimination, Defect Handling, Planning/Scheduling).
• Improve 5S, housekeeping and GMP related to tools, shop safety and equipment repair.
