Job summary

Celanese in Florence, KY seeks an Associate Technician, Maintenance/Reliability Expert for a 12-hour night shift with rotating days. You will monitor equipment, perform maintenance per standards, and drive RCAs to prevent failures. Work with planners to optimize preventive maintenance and ensure 5S discipline.

The role requires basic electrical/mechanical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to identify anomalies. Night differential and bonus eligibility are noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems and the ability to perform repairs.
• Technical focus or at least 6 months of related maintenance experience.
• Troubleshooting and RCA skills.
• Knowledge of processes and equipment.
• Ability to identify anomalies in equipment.
• Proficiency in using basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine rounds and actively monitor equipment to inspect and detect anomalies, identifying emerging issues.
• Independently perform maintenance in accordance with industry standards.
• Identify required parts, supplies, and repair items.
• Collaborate with the Planner/Scheduler to optimize preventive maintenance procedures.
• Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Perform maintenance tasks, make adjustments and repairs, and complete preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Conduct C-level root cause analyses (RCAs) on equipment reliability failure modes.
• Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with other workgroups as necessary.
• Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, turn equipment over to maintenance for repairs, and participate in return-to-service activities.
• Deliver accurate and high-quality work notifications.
