Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods in Haverhill, MA is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Mechanic to ensure reliable operation of our packaging and processing equipment. This full-time, manual labor role includes diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, with emphasis on safety and GMP compliance.

The position offers hourly pay from $20.00 to $40.00 depending on experience, with the opportunity for overtime; ability to read schematics, use a range of tools, and maintain equipment

Qualifications

• Two+ years related experience, preferably in food industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and skilled use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Able to read and interpret technical procedures and schematics.
• Knowledge of GMPs, LOTO, OSHA and safety regulations.
• Able to work overtime and flexible to 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts.
• Able to communicate in English.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, diagnose, and repair electrical, hydraulic, steam, water, waste and pneumatic systems/components found in food manufacturing equipment related to all packaging, processing, filling and facility systems.
• Plan and execute preventative maintenance according to PM schedule to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain production line machinery and equipment to manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications.
• Complete repairs of mechanical and structural components on production lines to recover from equipment failures.
• Requisition and maintain an appropriate inventory of parts/supplies to facilitate timely repair of equipment.
• Complete work orders and required paperwork to the highest quality standards.
• Follow SOPs, company policies and GMPs at all times.
• Maintain a high level of safety awareness, striving for an accident-free workplace.
