Job summary

ConMet Canton Facility in Canton, NC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on injection molding/assembly equipment. This is a 12 Hour Night shift position.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, fabricating components, and performing preventive maintenance while adhering to safety rules and NFPA 70E PPE guidelines. A background in industrial maintenance and blueprints is preferred.

Qualifications

• College or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools for repairs and installations.
• Familiarity with high- and low-voltage systems.
• Experience in field service, hydraulics, or industrial electrician roles is a plus.
• Knowledge of PLC programming is a plus.
• Good pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge.
• Willingness to learn forklift/high-lift operation.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on injection molding/assembly mechanical equipment and systems.
• Fabricate and install mechanical components.
• Perform required preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with other team members.
• Observe and comply with NFPA 70E Arc Flash PPE procedures.
