Job summary

B&G Foods in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Mechanic I or II for 3rd shift (11:15PM–7:45AM) with daily/weekly overtime opportunities. Pay starts at $28.90/hour for I or $32.01/hour for II, plus a $0.55/hour shift differential; company-paid, competency-based courses required.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or GED and forklift certification within 60 days.
• Industrial maintenance experience is helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to read diagrams and schematics and follow manuals.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant machinery per manuals and specs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and replace defective parts.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment to improve performance.
• Provide technical assistance to production for setup and changeover.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document tasks.
• Collaborate with Engineering and external vendors to enhance maintenance.
