Job summary

Freudenberg Household Products LP (USA) is seeking aMaintenance Lead for our South Dakota facility. You will supervise, train, and support maintenance staff while coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, strong troubleshooting in injection molding and automation, and the ability to read manuals, schematics, and ladder logic.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Leadership or lead technician experience is required.
• Strong troubleshooting in injection molding machines, automation systems, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, electrical and mechanical schematics, ladder logic.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS, or maintenance software).
• Strong communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
• Technical degree or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Specialized training in automation/controls and experience with auxiliary equipment and Fanuc robots preferred.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and support maintenance staff; delegate tasks and monitor performance.
• Maintenance Operations: Coordinate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
• Scheduling & Planning: Organize daily work schedules, prioritize tasks, and respond to urgent repair needs.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Documentation: Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment status.
• Inventory Management: Monitor and manage tools, parts, and supplies.
• Overtime availability: Ability to work overtime as needed.
• 3rd shift availability: 10 pm - 6 am Sunday night through Friday morning.
