Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Newnan, GA is seeking a Maintenance Helper to support the night shift. You will assist the Maintenance Technician with basic mechanical tasks, help with material handling on the production floor, and contribute to a safe, efficient nightly operation.

The role is ideal for someone early in their career who is mechanically inclined, safety minded, and eager to grow within a leading industrial company. Night shift experience is preferred and physical work is involved.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on maintenance work.
• 1+ years in a production or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and support a more experienced technician.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Basic understanding of tools and mechanical processes.

Responsibilities

• Pulling metal and supporting material-handling on the production floor.
• Assisting the Maintenance Technician with simple mechanical tasks such as holding parts, tools, or a flashlight.
• Performing basic wrench-turning or mechanical assistance under direction.
• Supporting production teams to ensure timely response to equipment needs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Following direction to assist with minor adjustments or simple tasks when the technician is unavailable.
• Providing flexibility to support both maintenance and production operations.
• Documenting and communicating any irregularities or needs to the maintenance team.
• Learning foundational maintenance concepts through on-the-job exposure.
