Job summary

Stryker is seeking an experienced machinist for an onsite role in Michigan. You will set up and operate complex DMG Mori equipment, read engineering drawings, and ensure parts meet tight GD&T specs. You will also train others, maintain records, and collaborate across departments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of machining experience, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Shift is 10:00 pm–6:30 am with a $33.25/hr base plus $1.50/hr shift premium.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years related Machining experience required.
• Ability to set up and operate complex equipment while multitasking to meet production goals and quality standards.
• Use precision measuring equipment and GD&T principles to verify components meet engineering specifications and troubleshoot quality or inspection issues.
• Maintain strong attention to detail and perform physical requirements, including lifting or exerting force up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with DMG Mori NTX/NZX machines.
• Successful completion of an accredited apprenticeship program.
• Successful completion of an accredited Machinist / Machine Tool Technology certificate program.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform frequent to regular tasks using standard procedures and various conventional and/or manual machine tools.
• Work from engineering drawings and/or specifications.
• Comply with and maintain documentation and records.
• Determine tool offsets and load tooling into machinery at correct settings.
• Use precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet engineering specifications.
• Assist maintenance personnel with routine maintenance.
• Train and develop others within the role.
• Collaborate with peers, functional departments, and visitors of Stryker.
