Job summary

Litehouse Foods in Lowell, MI is hiring a Machine Tech I (Operator) for the night shift (11pm-7:30am). The role operates production machinery, performs basic preventative maintenance, and troubleshoots issues to ensure quality products.

Starting pay is $18.77 per hour with shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts; 2nd shift adds $1.50/hr and 3rd/D/C shift adds $3/hr. You will set up and adjust machines, perform changeovers and washes, adhere to Food Safety policies, and support a clean,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED strongly preferred.
• Mechanically inclined preferred.
• Fully trained and experienced in the operation of one production machine as defined at each plant and/or equivalent work experience.
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and meet attendance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate and lead key machinery, striving for efficient output of quality products.
• Set up, operate and adjust machinery.
• Perform changeovers and washes that meet or exceed specifications.
• Responsible for maintaining food safety policies and reporting concerns.
• Ensure products produced meet customer and quality requirements.
• Perform basic maintenance/controls, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean work area and participate in housekeeping throughout the facility.
