Job summary

O’Neal Manufacturing Services in Louisville, KY is seeking a Machine Operator I to safely operate a range of production machines, set up tooling, monitor performance, and help deliver high-quality components.

You will work the 3rd shift Monday-Thursday 8:30pm-7:00am with paid weekly pay and a $1.50 per hour shift differential, while following safety and quality procedures and keeping a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic critical thinking and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes with required certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools (hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, bander).
• Ability to use measuring tools (tape, calipers, micrometers).
• Convert fractions to decimals and metric to English measurements.
• Produce high-quality work and operate one or more processing machines.
• Speak, write, and understand conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• Set up and operate machines, adjusting tooling, guides, jigs, and fixtures.
• Operate multiple machines including angle line machines, bevellers, saws, shears, burners, laser cutters, rolling, presses, welders, and machining centers.
• Ensure error-free output for internal and external customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
