Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking a Night Shift Machine Operator for Mon.–Thu., 7pm–7am, to support our steel wire manufacturing. The role focuses on operating machinery, performing quality checks, and maintaining safe, efficient production in a heavy manufacturing environment.

You will work with a team, follow ASTM standards, use PPE, document production activity, and assist with maintenance. A high school diploma and basic mechanical knowledge are required; advantageous attributes include

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to follow simple instructions
• Basic mechanical understanding

Responsibilities

• Operate designated machinery to facility standards and production specifications
• Perform operator quality checks according to ASTM standards
• Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of machines and facilities as required
• Use computer systems to track and document daily production activity
• Assist other operators as needed
• Practice safe work habits to reduce risk and adhere to PPE and safety standards
• Work effectively within a team environment
