Job summary

Novolex in Kinston, NC is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and maintain bagging and case-packing equipment on 2nd or 3rd shifts. The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for long periods.

The position offers starting pay between $19.32 and $20.46 per hour, paid weekly, with comprehensive benefits. Training and safety programs are provided to support employee development and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 pounds multiple times a day.
• Ability to stand, walk, twist up to 8 hours per day.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with little to no supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Positive work attitude and willingness to cooperate.

Responsibilities

• Keep Baggers safely loaded with rolls of Poly.
• Safely load Corrugate into Case Packer and cooperate with others to achieve performance goals.
• Make adjustments to baggers and case packers to minimize interruptions to production.
• Inspect bagged cups to ensure quality is not affected by delivery from Cup Machines.
• Keep work area clean and tour ready at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures and actively look for safety improvements.
• Perform other duties and keep complete and accurate records of materials used and machine performance.
