Job summary

The Toro Company’s Ditch Witch division seeks a Night Shift Machine Operator I to set up, adjust and operate production equipment, handling multiple machines from lathes to plasma and performing mechanical assembly as needed.

You will use a computer to check location, inventory and routing of parts, read blueprints when required, and contribute to a cross-functional team in a manufacturing environment with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with mechanical repair and assembly tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.).
• Basic reading, clerical, and math skills including performing sums and fractions.
• Experience or training in welding, machining, or metalworking machinery operation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate production equipment while monitoring performance and following proper sequence.
• Set up fixtures, mount parts, and perform mechanical assembly using hand and air tools.
• Use a computer to check location, inventory, and routing of parts and maintain production records.
• May read information from blueprints.
