Job summary

Closure Systems International, Inc. is seeking a hands-on operator in Crawfordsville, IN to support the Material Processing Department. You will lead by example, maintain safety and housekeeping standards, and work with the Help Chain to resolve quality issues.

Daily tasks include operating unloading/sorting equipment, recording data, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires mechanical aptitude, strong communication, and the ability to follow procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical skills enabling operation of process machinery.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of troubleshooting.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination and ability to inspect finished work.
• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to operate an electric walkie and lift assist.
• Must pass pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping duties.
• Operate material unloading and sorting machines to meet quality, quantity, and timing requirements.
• Utilize quality tools (checks, data, SPC, pareto charts) to monitor process performance and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with the process team and assist as required.
• Perform changeovers, clean-outs, and order verifications in flow lines.
• Communicate with area operators at shift change.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• Communicate clearly in English (verbal and written).
• Wear required safety gear.
• Attend work regularly and work flexible shifts.
