Job summary

Ferrara is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift (11:00pm-7:00am) to operate and monitor confectionery production lines. You will ensure product quality, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced facility in Itasca, IL.

Responsibilities include changeovers, quality checks, and accurate documentation. Overtime is required to meet peak demand and cover absences. High school diploma or GED and at least basic manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to solve problems involving variables in standard situations.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot process equipment.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor confectionery production equipment to ensure product quality.
• Maintain safe, sanitary work area and adhere to safety procedures.
• Adjust controls to regulate temperature and materials per recipe.
• Follow production schedule and perform changeovers as needed.
• Document shifts, quality checks, and any issues to supervisor.
