Job summary

Staffmark in Somerset, NJ is hiring a Machine Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production line. You will inspect finished products, replenish materials, and support safe, efficient operations.

The role requires reading work instructions and schedules, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. High school diploma or GED is preferred; prior experience in production helps you meet daily quotas and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing equipment and reading production documents.
• Knowledge of GMP and workplace safety practices.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement awareness is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor bottling and packaging machinery on a high-volume line.
• Supply lines with bottles, caps, and packaging materials to ensure continuous operation.
• Perform in-process quality checks for fill levels, labeling accuracy, and product integrity.
• Inspect finished goods for defects and compliance with quality standards.
• Assist with line changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting to reduce downtime.
• Maintain clean work areas in GMP and safety standards.
• Package finished products and prepare shipments for distribution.
• Meet daily production quotas with accuracy and attention to detail.
