Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a Machine Operator in Gallatin, TN to keep equipment running, perform minor setups, and troubleshoot issues. The role reports to the Department Manager and is supported by Team Leads.

Work is Monday through Thursday, 3:00pm–1:30am with overtime as needed. Responsibilities include inspecting products against blueprints, changing tools, performing daily maintenance, and operating a forklift to move materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience reading blueprints preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Ability to work independently or with a team.
• Demonstrated safety mindset and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Using blueprints to visually inspect products and verify conformance to specifications.
• Change tools and adjust machines to specification.
• Perform housekeeping and daily machine maintenance; troubleshoot issues.
• Operate forklift to move raw materials and finished goods.
