Simpson Strong-Tie Company Inc. in Gallatin, TN is seeking a Machine Operator to perform routine setups, inspect products against blueprints, and troubleshoot equipment to keep lines running. You will operate forklifts, change tools, and help with housekeeping and maintenance while following safety practices.

Perform minor set ups and troubleshoot equipment issues. This position reports directly to the Department Manager and is supported by the department’s Team Lead(s). This position works Monday through Thursday 3:00pm – 1:30am with overtime as needed.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGUsing blueprints to do visual product inspections to verify conformance to print specifications and tracking conformance using the Screw MFG Inspection sheet and SPC program. (40%)Changing tools and adjusting machine back to proper specification. (30%)Performing housekeeping/daily machine maintenance and troubleshooting manufacturing issues. (20%)Driving a forklift to retrieve raw material or deliver finished products to outbound staging area.
